Never miss a beat with this Zenith El Primero Stratos that brings unparalleled precision with a flyback chronograph mechanism and select style with a handsome dial.
Why we love it
The sense of mechanical ingenuity and excellence that has become synonymous with Zenith is immediately evident on this El Primero Stratos - the first watch to break the sound barrier. Yet, complication alone does not dictate the timepiece. With a 45mm diameter and steel construction carrying a fine brushed finish, this reference 03.2066.405/69.R515 advances a harmonious presence on the wrist.
It's interesting to note that the unique colour palette selected for this reference gives it a refreshing, unmistakable appearance. The sub-counters, arranged in a horizontal layout, are dressed in three varying shades providing a pleasing contrast to the brushed silver dial. The Zenith star logo on the chronograph hand is a show-stopping element that sits alongside the brand signature in charming coherence. The luminous hands and markers and the date aperture inject practical functionality.
The caseback on this watch is a feature in its own right, carrying a stunning depiction of the Stratos mission logo. The contours are framed by the text - FIRST WATCH TO BREAK THE SOUND BARRIER - and Felix Baumgartner's motto, LEARN TO LOVE WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN TAUGHT TO FEAR. Inside the solid caseback beats the Zenith El Primero calibre 405B, a nicely-finished automatic movement. It operates at 36,000bph and ensures a power reserve of approximately 50 hours.
This Zenith Defy El Primero Stratos 03.2066.405/69.R515 comes in excellent pre-owned condition.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
