This Type 20 Extra Special celebrates the storied legacy of Zenith in the world of aviation with a luminous dial and an efficient automatic movement.
Why we love it
Pilot Type 20 is the most charming manifestation of Zenith's storied legacy in the world of aviation. Subsequently, Zenith patrons cannot get enough of this watch, making the brand constantly experiment to give us something new to drool over. And Type 20 Extra Special does just that, with a classic personality and a 45mm case.
Firstly, attention must be paid to the watch's elegant construction. The bronze case flaunts a rounded profile with the signature onion-shaped crown. The dial comes in a blue hue akin to the leather strap to achieve an overall balanced mien. The dial is the focal point of this watch, carrying Arabic numeral hours markers and cathedral-style hands. The addition of signature script is carried out neatly to establish a clean, legible look for the dial.
The technical marvel that this Zenith watch gets materialised thanks to the calibre Elite 679. It is an automatic movement with 50 hours of power reserve. A simple time-only watch gets elevated to statement status with this refined and powerful Zenith Pilot Type 20 Extra Special that you must get your hands on!
This Zenith Pilot Type 20 Extra Special, purchased in 2022, shows very good condition with no significant scratches and a sturdy leather strap.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
