The kind of watchmaking excellence this Stratos Spindrift Racing watch displays doesn't come about by chance. This bold and modern Zenith is meticulously crafted and endowed with elevated El Primero calibre 4061.
Why we love it
We are big fans of watch partnerships. Two different sensibilities come together to create one stunning timepiece; it's exciting per se. And currently, we are crushing on this Zenith Stratos Spindrift Racing watch, designed to celebrate maison's continued partnership with this catamaran sailboat racing team.
Dubbed the ‘phantom model’, this reference 752060406121R573 features a 45.5mm stainless steel case that’s coated with DLC. The all-black look, facilitated by shades of grey and black on the dial, and the substantial size together create a noticeable presence on the wrist. The case overall bears the signature Stratos vibe with a rotating diver’s bezel and 100m water resistance.
The dial is the focal point of this watch, where a distinctively-put skeleton window at 10 o'clock displays the escapement of the El Primero calibre 4061. In addition to applied indexes and luminous hands, the dial carries two sub-dials at three and six. It also features a telemeter scale and the team's branding on the inner flange.
The automatic chronograph movement beats at 36,000 vibrations per hour, which is higher than most mechanical watches, thereby warranting accuracy of up to 1/10th of a second. The use of silicon in the movement lever and escapement asserts increased resistance to wear and tear and magnetic fields. Finally, this esteemed El Primero calibre is complete with a column-wheel mechanism and 50 hours of power reserve.
This Zenith Stratos Spindrift Racing 752060406121R573 features light scratches on the case and caseback. The black rubber strap is in satisfactory condition.
Provenance
At Second Movement, the pre-owned division of Ethos Watches, we adhere to a rigorous verification process where expert watchmakers carefully inspect every watch to certify its authenticity, ensuring it is not counterfeit. We also go to the maximum extent possible to ensure that the timepiece is not a stolen property and that all duties are paid. However, in the absence of any central database, a 100% verification is unlikely for any pre-owned entity in India. Nevertheless, we can still provide a provenance guarantee for watches purchased from Ethos.
Please note all our transactions with sellers are conducted via registered banking channels, accompanied by a signed affidavit, banking proof, and PAN card.
A specific affidavit stating the watch is not a stolen property and that all applicable duties have been paid is also obtained from the seller and is available for buyers in case of legal requirements.
We strive to build trust through transparency and diligence, outlining our verification process and the inherent limitations. Our commitment to integrity shapes every transaction, prioritising your confidence while acknowledging the realities of the pre-owned watch market.
